These ceramic tiles are created by Michael Ringer in his studio using a Dye Sublimation process. After the image is printed on sublimation paper, it is then secured to the face of the tile and heated to 400º in a special heat press for about 7 - 8 minutes. The image is transferred to the tile and interestingly, it is actually "imbedded" below the surface of the tile rather than printed on top of the tile. These tiles can be displayed as they are on a shelf, in a plate holder, or framed. The surface is super glossy and the colors are rich and vibrant.
