The River, is perhaps Michael Ringer's signature work of the St. Lawrence River. The island is Resort Island in the Summerland Group, just below Alexandria Bay. The work features a small island, with a classic St. Lawrence skiff being rowed quietly, as a great lakes freighter glides down the river to a distant port.
